Parts of Speech is designed to help students increase grammar and vocabulary skills as they strengthen reading and writing ability. Parts of Speech is published by Optimum Resource and is for students in grades 3 to 9.
Students identify nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, conjunctions, prepositions and interjections from word lists and from within sentences and paragraphs utilizing a variety of timed and untimed activities; Word Search, Word Machine, Paragraph Search and Sentence Machine.
The program may be customized by adding an unlimited number of new words, parts and exercises and offers many useful teacher options.
Progress reports are available and all examples and sentences may be printed out as practice, test, and take-home sheets
School Versions and above include freely reproducible lesson plans and manipulative masters
Parts of Speech includes 32 leveled lessons, with more than 1,000 graded words identified as to part, and all fully selectable by the teacher at any time.

Comes on a CD, which runs on Windows 2000, XP and Vista or Mac OS 9 (Classic). The CD must remain in the drive to run the program. Windows: A computer running Windows 2000, XP or Vista, CD ROM Drive, 32 MB of RAM and a Color Monitor. Windows compatible sound card recommended. Macintosh: PowerPC, System 9x, 32 MB RAM, CD ROM Drive (OS X users, titles will run on systems which support OS9 Classic.
An internet connection is recommended, but fax, phone or e-mail may be used for product activation.
