Grammar consists of six self-paced sections designed to build an
understanding of sentence structure. Grammar is published by Optimum Resource, is part of the MiddleWare Series and is available in different configurations to fit your needs.
Grammar begins with the identification of subject and predicate and the introduction of proper and common nouns, Grammar progresses to verbs, tense and subject-verb agreement.
The direct object begins the third section, followed by pronouns, possessive nouns, interrogative pronouns and contraction.
Sections four and five take on adjectives and articles, then prepositional phrases and the concept of a modifier.
The final section presents helping verbs, linking verbs, appositives, participles, infinitives and gerunds.
Teachers may select a starting level and the number of tries allowed.
School Versions and above include freely reproducible lesson plans and manipulative masters.
Progress reports are generated and new questions, answers and activities can be entered.
